How does receipt scanning work?+
Tap the scan button and photograph your grocery receipt. friggio reads each line, guesses the category and shelf life, and shows you a review screen where you can fix anything before saving. Clear, flat, well-lit photos give the best results.
The scan missed or misread some items. What can I do?+
On the review screen you can edit names, change categories, and adjust quantities and dates before saving. Crumpled or faded receipts are harder to read — retaking the photo in good light usually helps. If a store's receipts consistently fail, let us know and we'll work on it.
How do I add items by voice?+
Open voice entry and simply say what you bought, e.g. "milk, two yogurts, spinach, bananas." friggio turns your speech into items and sorts them into categories. Voice recognition runs on your device where possible; in some languages iOS may use Apple's speech service to convert audio to text.
How are expiry dates calculated?+
friggio estimates a typical shelf life for each category from its purchase date. These are sensible defaults, not guarantees — always trust your own eyes and nose, and edit any date directly on an item if you know better.
How is "money saved" calculated?+
When you mark an item as used (rather than thrown away), friggio counts its value toward your savings. Toss something and it counts as waste instead. The figures use estimated prices for each category in your currency, so treat them as a helpful guide rather than exact accounting.
I'm not getting expiry notifications.+
Check that notifications are enabled both in friggio's settings and in iOS Settings → Notifications → friggio. If you previously declined the permission, you'll need to turn it back on in iOS Settings. Notifications also require an internet connection to be delivered.
What languages does friggio support?+
English, Ukrainian, and Polish — including the interface, categories, and voice input. friggio follows your device language where supported, and you can change it in settings.
How do I manage or cancel friggio Pro?+
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → friggio to change or cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple.
I reinstalled the app — is my pantry still there?+
Yes. friggio restores your pantry from our servers using a secure identifier stored in your device's Keychain, which survives reinstalls on the same device. If something doesn't come back, email us and we'll help.
How do I delete my data?+
You can delete individual items any time inside the app. To erase all data associated with your device, email support@nordbytenova.com and we'll take care of it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
